Natural Hemp Rope, 3 strand construction.
Made from natural hemp or flax, this is a soft rope to handle and reduces the risk of friction burns.
Used mainly for school gymnasium climbing ropes, or theatre scenery pulley ropes, but can be used for a variety of tasks where ropes have to be handled.
Available by the metre or on 220 metre coils.
3 strand synthetic hemp rope, which looks and feels similar to traditional hemp rope. Often referred to as "Hempex" or "Hardy Hemp".
It is easy to grip and is soft on the hands. It has excellent breaking load, good resistance to abrasion and will not rot. Low stretch and easy to splice.
Ideal for garden projects, decking, handrails, garden swings etc.
Also used on board traditional sailing vessels.
Synthetic Manila Rope. Developed as an alternative to Natural Manila Rope. Strong, hard wearing and durable with a natural colour tone close to Natural Manila Rope. Will not shrink, swell or rot when wet.
3 strand cotton rope produced from high quality raw material. A natural fibre rope that is soft to the touch.
Cotton has good fire retardant qualities and is less likely to cause friction burns to the skin.
Favoured for horse halters and pet toys. Can be dyed for decorative purposes.
Unbleached, off white colour.
